Brandon Warren Out for Season

brandon-warrenI saw it on forums this morning, heard it on the radio, and then it began to flash  around on Twitter.  Finally, WVLT  confirmed our suspicions with this article.  No one knows for certain why the suspension has occurred, but Brandon Warren has been suspended for the season.  From the article:

“During the Vols’ 26-22 loss to Auburn, ESPN’s Erin Andrews reported that Warren was "going off" on wide receivers coach Frank Wilson and had to be "separated from the group”… sources close to the squad told Sports Overtime’s Mark Packer that Warren was not a part of the team’s Monday meetings.

Since Lane Kiffin’s arrival on the Tennessee campus, the junior wide receiver has been in and out of the head coach’s doghouse. During the spring practice period, Warren even "lost" his number 1 jersey because he wasn’t doing the things needed to keep the number. Kiffin has said that single digit numbers are special numbers to have. “

If Brandon Warren has continued to act like a prima donna, then he definitely deserves his suspension, but I’ll reserve judgment until I hear official word about what he has done.
